With the purpose of providing spaces to promote the talent of Mexicans, a socially responsible company has been in charge of launching an art call and promoting new forms of expression.
This is CAFFENIO, a leading company dedicated to the development of innovative products and concepts around coffee culture. So it recently looked for urban art creators to fill the walls of its points of sale with art. We share the details with you.
Responsible commitment to local art
CAFFENIO seeks, through this art call called Espressa , to achieve a sense of belonging and reference in artistic expression, which is materialized by painting murals on the walls of its cafes.
In 2021—the first time the call was launched—Manuel Bobadilla, Coffee Shop Marketing Coordinator at CAFFENIO, explained that the objective is to promote the talent of local artists and at the same time connect the company's brand with the community through of the works.
Taking advantage of these spaces that we have, it seemed Changsha Mobile Number List like a good way to… number one, promote local art and second, bring the brand closer to the community and people. So, when these two pillars crossed, something very beautiful was done, people got out (of their cars) and took photos of the murals, it is another type of image that is not the one we handle, it makes it more of their own.
caffenio art call
Last year, CAFFENIO looked for urban artists who would begin to display their works at points of sale. The pioneers of this project were:
Andrés Castro, at CAFFENIO Gaspar Luken. Hermosillo, Sonora.
Cesar Duarte, at CAFFENIO Valle del Márquez. Hermosillo, Sonora.
Tony Plank, at CAFFENIO Centro. Nogales, Sonora.
Marco Miranda, at CAFFENIO May 5 in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.
Marco Miranda, at CAFFENIO San Marcos in Mexicali, Baja California.
In this first edition, the artists were pleased with the opportunity provided by CAFFENIO, since they consider it a different experience within their artistic practice.
I think it is a turning point for a company like CAFFENIO (in this case from Hermosillo) to turn to us to decorate their facilities. For me it is something that marks a watershed in the history of artists, that they are given spaces, that they remunerate their work, that they are given the importance that they have, they not only beautify the space, but also the culture.
Cesar Duarte, urban artist, whose mural can be seen on Drive Valle del Márquez, Hermosillo, Sonora.
In this way, Espressa is positioned as an example of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), since it contributes to generating a positive impact on society.
Call for art
With the purpose of continuing to promote Mexican talents, CAFFENIO launched the Espressa 2022 art call through the following themes:
Happiness : Transmit joy with a warm and colorful work.
Love of coffee: Generate connection with CAFFENIO Lovers, who are those people who regularly enjoy and consume the brand's products.
Sense of belonging: The aim is to generate a connection and sense of belonging in the people of the area or community by evoking representative themes of the region, city or location.
art and coffee call
This call already has its first winners, however, CAFFENIO does not close the doors and it is still possible to register , since the company is creating a catalog of artists to join this project as the spaces become available.
